Flag-up Hydraulic Pilot Joystickis a remote-control valve used to manage high-pressure hydraulic systems with minimal physical effort. Instead of the operator manually shifting a large, heavy valve spool, they move a small joystick that sends a "pilot signal" (low-pressure oil) to move the main valve.
Think of it like apower steering system for machinery: it allows an operator to control massive forces (like an excavator’s arm) with just two fingers.
How It Works: The Mechanism
The joystick is connected to a low-pressure hydraulic circuit (the pilot circuit).
1.Input:When you move the handle, it pushes down on small internal plungers.
2.Pilot Signal:This action opens a path for low-pressure oil (typically $20 to 40 bar) to flow through pilot lines.
3.Main Valve Action:This oil travels to the ends of a much larger "Main Control Valve." The pressure shifts the large spool inside, which then directs high-pressure oil (200+bar) to the cylinders or motors.
4.Proportional Control:The further you tilt the stick, the more pilot oil is sent, and the faster the machine moves.
